At Japfest 2024, we reimagined the eBay shopping experience, transforming it from a virtual screen into a dynamic, 3D world.

In collaboration with EMC & eBay, we transformed the traditional online shopping journey into a hands-on, tangible adventure.

The Challenge:

Engage with eBay’s ‘maintainers & enthusiasts’ audience through an experience, not a stand.

The Idea:

We aimed to weave a "red thread" of creativity that linked eBay’s various activation experiences while tapping into the automotive spirit that embodies Japfest.

The Solution:

Our drive-through experience was designed to deliver tangible value to fans, providing a walkthrough of the eBay platform in a novel, three-dimensional format.

From the moment guests entered their unique registration numbers, they were guided through a journey of discovery — finding the perfect part for their vehicle and engaging in a sensory 'find the right fit' game. This seamless flow ensured a simple yet dynamic user journey that mirrored the ease and accessibility of the eBay platform.

A direct link back to the core of the event, the eBay Garage had a constant display of the best Japanese vehicles parked directly in front and exclusive to the eBay Garage activation.
