eBay Garage
Celebrating DIY spirit
WINNER: Best Live Event 2024 at Race Media Awards
Positioning eBay parts and motors as the essential support service for every passion project, we created the ultimate walk-in, 3D website for eBay’s community of car tinkerers and enthusiasts.
A sustainable heaven for petrolheads, revved to the max with auto influencers, curated content, panel talks, guidance and help, showcasing eBay’s unrivalled parts inventory with its own, on-brand classic car parts museum.
The Challenge:
Create an iconic, unforgettable experience for eBay’s inaugural trip to Goodwood Festival of Speed.
The Idea:
There’s a joy to sourcing car parts and doing it yourself. Beyond saving money, the journey itself is hugely satisfying.
That’s the opportunity we saw in bringing ‘DIY Spirit’ to life, creating a live version of eBay that visitors could jump inside.
The Solution:
Our eBay recreation turned DIY into joy, advancing brand perceptions to a 'satisfactional' level.
Embracing a creative "DIY Spirit" theme, we offered diverse activities, including live talks, DIY demos, and expert advice, all wrapped in brand education. The eBay stand had content for all, even a play area for less enthusiastic family members.
eBay’s inaugural presence at Goodwood Festival of Speed was consciously different to other stands, demystifying DIY with playful, entertaining opportunities for visitors to learn and realise their personal goals.
The DIY Spirit
A vibrant, joyful expression of everything great about doing it for yourself.
Beyond the brief
We created a strongly linked thread of content that fused experience and entertainment to flex personal empowerment through DIY.
We meticulously wove experience into the heart of the activation, working with influencers to bring the environment to life with connection.
